Terms of Service

01 Who we are

mergepdfs.dev is operated by Byte Size Curiosity LLC, a New York limited liability company, mailing address 41 State Street, Suite 112, Albany, NY 12207 ("we", "us"). Byte Size Curiosity LLC also operates YouTubeTranscript.dev. If you don't agree to these terms, please don't use the service.

02 The service

• Browser merger (free): merges, reorders, rotates and resizes PDF pages entirely in your browser. It's free, unlimited, adds no watermark and works without an account.
• Merge API (paid): merges PDFs on our servers through POST /v1/merge with an API key, or from your account page.

Check the merged file before you rely on it. Resizing pages keeps how they look but leaves out interactive parts such as links and form fields.

03 Your account and API keys

Your login is shared with YouTubeTranscript.dev (one account, several products). Give accurate information and keep your credentials and API keys secret: anyone with your API key can spend your credits. You're responsible for activity on your account and keys. Revoke a key you think is exposed, and tell us at support@youtubetranscript.dev if you suspect unauthorized access.

04 Credits, pricing and payment

• The API is usage-based. You buy prepaid credit packs; there is no subscription and no commitment.
• One credit is used per successful server merge, whatever the number of files or pages. Failed merges don't use credits.
• The browser merger never uses credits.
• Credits don't expire while your account is open. They're non-transferable and can't be exchanged for cash.
• mergepdfs.dev credits are separate from other products' credits (such as YouTubeTranscript.dev) and can only be used here.
• New accounts may receive free starter credits; we may change or end that offer at any time.
• Payments are processed by Stripe. Prices are listed on the pricing page and may change for future purchases.

05 Refunds

If you're not happy with a pack, email support@youtubetranscript.dev within 30 days of purchase and we'll refund the unused portion. Used credits aren't refundable, except for duplicate charges, billing errors or outages that stopped you from using the service. Approved refunds go back to the original payment method within 5–7 business days, and the refunded credits are removed.

06 Your files

• You keep all rights in the files you merge. You give us permission to process them only to provide the service.
• Only merge files you have the right to use, and only unlock files whose password you are entitled to use.
• Results of the API are stored privately so you can download them again.

07 Acceptable use

You agree not to use mergepdfs.dev to:

• process content that is illegal, sexually explicit involving minors, or that infringes someone else's rights;
• get around a document's protection without permission;
• use file URLs to probe or attack other systems, or try to reach private networks through the service;
• break, overload, scrape or get around the service's limits or payments, or share API keys to avoid paying.

We may refuse requests, rate-limit, revoke API keys and suspend accounts that break these rules.

08 Disclaimers and liability

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, including availability of the API. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we aren't liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

09 Ending your use

You can stop using mergepdfs.dev at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that violate these terms. When an account is closed, unused credits are forfeited unless refunded under section 5.

10 Changes and contact
